Cygnus Knights Revamp

Cygnus Knights General Changes
  • The level cap for Dawn Warriors, Wind Archers, and Thunder Breakers has been increased from 120 to 250.
  • New Blaze Wizards and Night Walkers cannot be created until v153/v156.
  • All new skills, including Hyper Skills, have been added to Dawn Warrior, Wind Archer, and Thunder Breaker characters.
  • An all new Cygnus Knight quest line has replaced the old one.
  • The Ultimate Explorer quest has been removed from all Cygnus Knight jobs, including Mihile.
  • The 10% bonus EXP on level up has been removed from all Cygnus Knight jobs, including Mihile.
  • There has been an AP and SP reset for Dawn Warriors (excluding Mihile), Wind Archers, and Thunder Breakers.
  • Newly created Cygnus Knights will have a new hairstyle and face style.

  • The unexplored lands of Tynerum are covered in fog in the world map, but more will be revealed as you explore it.
  • You can enter Tynerum by obtaining the quest "[Tynerum] Demon Invitation" and taking the Dimensional Mirror to Crimsonheart Castle. The quest "[Tynerum] Demon Invitation" is obtained after freeing the Demons at Crimsonheart Castle, which is started from the quest "[Crimsonheart] To Grendel’s Library".
  • Note: The Crimsonwood Keep added in v.141 has been updated to Crimsonheart Castle. The original Crimsonwood Keep will keep the same name.

Interface Changes

Widescreen Resolution
  • 1366x768 widescreen resolution has been added.
  • Many more quickslots will be displayed and be customizable in 1366x768 than in the lower resolutions.
  • You'll be given the option to immediately switch to the 1366x768 resolution when you first log in after the update. After that, you can change your resolution through the System Options, as usual.


Maple Chat
  • Maple Chat is a new and improved version of the messenger.
  • There are three modes of Maple Chat:
    • Random Chat For Two – lets you have a private chat with a random player
    • Random Groupon Chat – lets you chat with up to 5 other random players at the same time
    • Buddy Chat – lets you invite specific players to chat together
  • Players are able to give each other 'Likability' points. This is similar to 'fame', but is specific to Maple Chat. Likability points are reset every Tuesday, and one male and one female character with the highest likability for the week will be displayed in the 'Ultimate Weekly Maple Star!' window.
  • In the chat room, players can switch between the 'full chat' window, and a smaller, sleeker window by clicking the '-' and '+' buttons at the top right of the window.
  • There are 5 themes/backgrounds to choose from while in a chat room - these can be changed by clicking one of the 5 'circle' buttons at the top left of the window.
  • Click the 'smiley' face next to the chatroom to include emoticons in your chat!
  • Typing certain phrases will change your avatar's facial expressions, such as: 'lol,' 'XD,' to make your character smile/laugh; 'hmm,' 'uh oh,' ': (' to make your character frown; 'waaah,' 'aah,' 'wah!' to make your character cry; 'rage', 'u mad', 'grrr' to make an angry facial expression; 'huh?!' 'no way!' 'eh?' to make a confused/bewildered face; or 'uh...' to make a stunned face.


Link Skill Manager
  • Link Skill management has been improved.
  • A beginner-level skill has been added for all characters that are 1st job or higher.
  • A maximum of 12 link skills can be assigned to a single character at one time. (Note: This limit doesn't apply to Croosade.)


Short Tooltips
  • Item tooltips can be simplified, with most statistical information not displayed.
  • To toggle this option, got to the System Options menu, the Item Option section, then check or uncheck "Show Short Tooltip."

Extend Life

Resolved Issues/Misc Changes
  • Crash when opening Familiar Booster Packs was fixed.
  • Final Attack delays introduced in v140 were fixed.
  • Normal Von Bon will once again summon clock areas.
  • Issue where Chaos Vellum tails spawned twice without delay has been fixed.
  • Chaos Vellum rock drops have been changed from static 10 seconds to a random 4-10 seconds.
  • Shammos quest line is accessible to new jobs.
  • Bug where Dual Blades gained twice the Min Crit Damage from Sharpness was fixed.
  • Min Crit Damage is no longer capped by Max Crit Damage. If one is higher than the other, they swap.
  • Check the Server Changes thread after the maintenance for some other minor changes Croosade has done in this update.
